KIPPS & THE RESEARCH MAGNIFICENT BY H.G WELLS

Kipps & The Research Magnificent by H.G. Wells (Published by Odhams Press Limited) This edition by Odhams Press Limited brings together two notable works by H.G. Wells: "Kipps" and "The Research Magnificent." In Kipps, Wells tells the story of Artie Kipps, a draper’s assistant who unexpectedly inherits a fortune, leading him into the unfamiliar world of the upper class. Through Kipps’ journey, Wells explores themes of class mobility, love, and the absurdities of social conventions. In contrast, The Research Magnificent follows the ambitious William Porphyry Benham as he embarks on a philosophical quest for greatness, reflecting Wells' deeper musings on idealism and the pursuit of a meaningful life. Together, these two novels highlight Wells' ability to blend social critique with compelling character-driven narratives.
